Welcome to the Glen Iris Road Uniting Church & Community Centre

On this website you can learn about the life and work of our church community, how to find and contact us, programs held in our Centre, how to hire rooms, and information about the Glen Iris Rd Uniting Kindergarten.

If we can help you in any way please contact us or drop in for a visit. Due to COVID and changes to our volunteers availability, the office isn't open every day.

We hope to be able to recommence our kids club when restrictions allow. Watch our website and Facebook page for updates on this.

It is our vision as a community to build an active, welcoming and creative Uniting Church presence in this region in the present, for the future.

Intergenerational Worship

On the fourth Sunday of the month, we explore a new way of "doing church" together. Instead of a traditional service, we use other ways of learning and growing together.

Kid's Club

Kid’s Club is a drop-in playgroup for parents, kids and carers in the centre and is open to the public. We welcome neighbours and local parents or caregivers with pre-school children to come along and enjoy craft, colouring and free play with other children.

We hope to restart once restrictions allow us to.

What's On

Messy Church is held once a month on a Sunday afternoon from  4pm - 5pm! We are planning our next one to be online. Messy Church is worship designed to be welcoming to both children and adults, and when we are able to again, will conclude with dinner provided by the Church.

What To Expect

Every Sunday we gather at 10am, young and old and in between, to journey and worship together. There are usually around thirty or so of us.

You are invited to any or all of our church services. Whether you usually attend another church, have never attended a church service before, wish to come only occasionally, or to make us your regular congregation, you will be made most welcome.

  • Weekly - Our church community meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 10 am. The service is followed by morning tea.
  • Monthly - Communion services are usually held on the first Sunday of every month at 10 am, depending on COVID restrictions and mask wearing directions.
  • Regular BBQ after church - we share in a BBQ lunch after church once a month. If you would like to come along, please contact us to find out when the next one is.
  • Special services - are advised on a notice board near the street. Please check the times of these services on the board or on our website.
