Glen Iris Road Uniting Church is a welcoming and inclusive community where people of all genders, races, cultures, backgrounds and life experiences are valued, respected and encouraged to belong. We celebrate diversity and seek to share God’s love through hospitality, connection and mutual care.

Glen Iris Road Uniting Church and Community Centre is located on the sovereign Country of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation; land that was taken, not ceded. We give thanks for their ancestors, and acknowledge the ongoing right and responsibility of their elders to care for this Country. We are committed to work and pray towards a more just settlement for all Indigenous people.

It is our vision as a community to build an active, welcoming and creative Uniting Church presence in this region in the present, for the future.

Intergenerational Worship

On the fourth Sunday of the month, we explore a new way of "doing church" together. Instead of a traditional service, we use other ways of learning and growing together. 

Kid's Club in 2026

Our Kid's club runs on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9.30 to 11.30am during school term. All welcome!

Kid’s Club is a drop-in playgroup for parents, kids and carers in the centre and is open to the public during school terms. We welcome neighbours and local parents or caregivers with pre-school children to come along and enjoy craft, colouring and free play with other children.

What's On

Supporting the Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation 

Each month we support a local, national or international charity. This can be both financial and in-kind support.

In October we are supporting the Hamlin Fistula in Ethiopia. In 1959, Australian medical practitioners Drs Catherine and Reg Hamlin started their extraordinary journey to Ethiopia and their quest to provide world-class treatment for women suffering from an obstetric fistula. Today, Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia is a healthcare network of over 600 Ethiopian staff servicing six specialist fistula hospitals, the Hamlin College of Midwives, Desta Mender rehabilitation and reintegration centre and over 90 Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics across the country.

What To Expect

Every Sunday we gather at 10am, young and old and in between, to journey and worship together. There are usually around twenty or so of us.

You are invited to any or all of our church services. Whether you usually attend another church, have never attended a church service before, wish to come only occasionally, or to make us your regular congregation, you will be made most welcome.

  • Weekly - Our church community meets for worship on Sunday mornings at 10 am. The service is followed by morning tea.
  • Monthly - Communion services are usually held on the second Sunday of every month at 10 am.
  • Occasional BBQ lunch after church.  If you would like to come along, please contact us to find out when the next one is.
  • Special services - are advised on a notice board near the street and our website. Please check the times of these services on the board or on our website.
